About

The Making Learning Real with Problem-Based Case Learning blog is a community resource and complement to the MakingLearningReal.org web site — a comprehensive free resource for teachers and administrators considering or already using Problem-Based Case Learning (PBCL). The site includes videos featuring instructors, students, and business people, as well as classroom tools, information about professional development programs, and other resources.

Making Learning Real with Problem-Based Case Learning, builds on more than three decades of research by leading experts in learning and cognition. By partnering with local businesses and bringing real-time, real-world business needs to their students, instructors significantly minimize the barriers that typically separate the classroom from the real world, preparing students for the work world and providing them with valuable experience.

Used in secondary and post-secondary education, PBCL serves as a curriculum organizer, toolkit, and instructional strategy to support the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes needed in the workforce.

This space is intended as a place for educators and administrators to discuss the implementation of PBCL in the classroom — the challenges, triumphs and innovations. Please share your stories, questions and suggestions.
